Race and Grace Meeting – “Banished” Film Screening

Our next Race and Grace group meeting will feature the film “Banished,” which vividly recounts the forgotten history of racial cleansing in America when thousands of African Americans were driven from their homes.

You are invited to prayerfully consider joining our ongoing discussion of race in America, including topics such as racial injustice and reconciliation.. We meet every 1-2 months, typically led by a facilitator and focused around a certain topic, film, book, news event, etc. We would gladly welcome anyone interested in learning more about race and having the rich, though often hard, conversations about our call to engage our culture and love our neighbor as followers of Christ. We also maintain informal dialogue and periodic other events with a view toward not being silent around this challenging topic. For more information, contact the SCC office and we can put you in touch with group facilitators (this event meets off-site; the office can provide you with directions).
