Children’s Ministries

Our mission for children at Shoreline Covenant Church is for each child to GATHER in a place where they are safe, loved, and can meet Jesus. To GROW in faith and knowledge of God. And to be equipped and encouraged to GO and share God’s love.

Sunday Mornings

Sunday School, 9-9:50am

Kids’ Sunday School

Kindergarten – 4th grade. A time of singing, stories, crafts, games, and prayer. Meets in the playroom.

Tweens’ Sunday School

5th-8th grade. A new opportunity for our oldest kids and our junior highers who aren’t participating in Confirmation. Come join us in the cozy, recently redone portable for a small-group-style time of discussion and prayer. Meets in the youth portable.

Worship Service, 10-11:15am

Nursery Care

Infants – preschool. Our nurseries are staffed by caring and nurturing volunteers from our congregation, all of whom undergo background checks and are fully vaccinated.

Junior Church

Kindergarten – 5th grade. Kids start in the main worship service and are invited to Junior Church prior to the sermon. In Junior Church they’ll enjoy some more singing, a simple Bible lesson and activity/craft, and time for free play. Parents can pick up their children in the playroom at the end of the worship service.

Children are also always welcome in the worship service with their families! Should you need a little more “wiggle room,” please feel free to utilize the Family Tables set up along the sides of the sanctuary, or the church entryway (where you can still observe and participate in the service through the windows as well as with a TV livestream).

Wednesday Nights

5:45/6:30 – 7:30pm

Kids in kindergarten – 5th grade are invited to join Pastor Sally and her team at 6:30 for music, games, and a bit of teaching. Kids’ programming will wrap up by 7:30pm, but kids are welcome to stay for “gym time” (group games, running around in the playyard, you get the idea) until youth programs wrap up at 8pm–giving parents the option of an earlier or later bedtime. :)

Or, come at 5:45pm for dinner! Kids–as well as younger/older siblings, parents, and even a friend if you want to bring one–are welcome for dinner and an unstructured time to hang out with people of all ages from SCC. Dinners aim to please the whole family (burgers, pasta bakes, pizza, chili, etc)! Meals are free (we will set out a donation basket if you can and want to chip in a few dollars).
