Children’s Ministries

Our mission for children at Shoreline Covenant Church is for each child to KNOW Jesus as their Savior. To GROW in faith and knowledge of God through the teaching of the Bible and age appropriate activities. To reach others by preparing and encouraging them to SERVE and share the message of His love.

Seasonal and Year-Round Programs

Wednesday Family Nights

Please note: Weds Fam Nights are on hold for the remainder of January due to the Covid spike in King County. We will resume as soon as we are able, hopefully on February 2!

Wednesday Family Nights are a time to hang out, eat, play, sing, and learn. Families are encouraged to attend together for kids in elementary school; youth in middle/high school are welcome to come on their own and hang out at the youth table with our youth ministry leaders.

The sanctuary is open from 6-6:30pm to eat, talk, and play (BYO dinner, though we do have occasional pizza nights!). From 6:30-7:30pm, we have a program including group games, singing, and learning about this year’s topic, Justice Journey! Also, first Wednesdays are date night for parents, while our staff hosts the kids at church for fun activities (pumpkin carving, game night, ice cream and bingo, etc.).

Justice Journey is a year-long program from the Evangelical Covenant Church that explores how, as Christ-followers, we can live into life-giving patterns of diversity, community, and love, as we seek to bring the love of Christ into a broken world. Learn more here!

Vacation Bible School

Check back in 2022 for updates about summer kids’ programs! We hope to bring back more in-person opportunities in summer 2022!

Sunday Mornings

Please note: Sunday children’s programs are on hold for the remainder of January due to the Covid spike in King County. We will resume as soon as we are able, hopefully on February 6!

JAM’N is our Sunday morning kids’ time for kindergarten-6th grade, meeting during the adult Sunday School hour (Sept-May, 9-9:50am). JAM’N is an acronym for “Jesus and Me and…”–whomever you want to invite to join us as we read the Bible to discover what we believe, why we believe it, and how we should go about sharing the awesomeness of Jesus with others. JAM’N involves joyous, rocking music, art, drama, science, multimedia, Bible stories, praying together, puppets, and, of course, donuts!

Nursery Care

Offered for children, birth-age 4, during our Sunday School hour (Sept-May, 9-9:50) and our worship service (year-round, 10-11:15am). Our nurseries are staffed by caring and nurturing volunteers from our congregation, all of whom undergo background checks and are fully vaccinated.

Jr. Church

Jr. Church is for kids, kindergarten-2nd grade, and offers age-appropriate Bible lessons during Sunday morning worship (year-round, 10-11:15am). Children attend the first part of the service with their families, and are invited to Jr. Church prior to the sermon. Parents then pick up their children in room 5 after the service concludes. All volunteers undergo background checks and are fully vaccinated.
