A few times a year, we select a book to read together book-club-style. Everyone participates as much or little as they like, simply reading on their own or joining a short-term discussion group. This practice offers us the chance to dive deeper in a particular aspect of discipleship and learn together. Previous books have included Extraordinary Hospitality for Ordinary People (Carolyn Lacey); Subversive Witness (Dominique Gilliard); and Welcoming the Stranger (Matthew Soerens & Jenny Yang).
Our Quilt Ministry participants create beautiful, handmade quilts for graduating high school students, folks going through a challenging life season, and for local organizations that provide housing and services for our unhoused neighbors.
Everyone is welcome to participate; no sewing experience necessary!
