Summer Camp Scholarships

For nearly 30 years, SCC has had the privilege of connecting children and youth with amazing summer camp experiences at Cascades Camp. Many of our youth have loved camp so much, they go on to be SALTs (“Servant and Leadership Training” program), counselors, and staff.

Whether elementary or middle school, every child is sure to find the perfect camp experience at Cascades! All offerings include the chance to enjoy the outdoors and grow in faith and friendship. Meanwhile, experiences for high schoolers at Cascades are geared towards discipleship and community. Activities for campers range from swimming, boating, and watersliding, to archery, ATVs, horseback riding, and gaga ball. There is no better way to spend a week of summer than at Cascades–unless, it’s at Cascades with a friend! Visit Cascades’ website for lots more information!

Scholarships

To ensure that every young person has the opportunity to attend camp without financial barrier, SCC maintains a scholarship fund to support any SCC-affiliated youth. You do not need to attend SCC on Sundays to be eligible for a scholarship–for instance, if you were invited by a friend who attends SCC, participate in our weekday children’s programs, or live in the Echo Lake neighborhood and do not have a “home church.”

Scholarships are valid for all summer camps (primary camp, Brightwood, Timber Rock, and horse camps), as well as for those serving as SALTs.

Two types of scholarships are available:

  1. A 50% scholarship offered to all first-time campers.
  2. A sliding-scale need-based scholarship

If you think you would be eligible for a scholarship, or even if you’re not sure, please reach out to our Camp Scholarship Fund coordinator at office@shorelinecovenant.org! We do not want money to be the reason that any person cannot attend camp.
