SCC offers a variety of programs for kids, youth, adults, and intergenerational groups–both within the church and out in the community. Many of our programs are on pause for the summer, but will return in September!
Our large gathering times are on Sunday mornings (Sunday school & worship) and Wednesday evenings (community dinner & programs). Click here to learn more about Sundays and Wednesdays!
Other activities include small groups, Bible studies, book studies, local and global community service, quilting ministry, youth group, VBS, summer block party, Christmas movie night, and more! We offer a variety of programs for kids & youth, including Sunday School & weeknight programs throughout the school year; youth group year-round; VBS in the summer; and special events throughout the year! You can click here to learn more about our Kids’ Ministry and our Youth Ministry.
During Sunday worship, we offer nursery care for infants – preschool. We also dismiss kids (K – 5th) to Junior Church partway through the service. All volunteers working with children are background checked. Children are always welcome in worship with their families, however – we don’t mind a little noise or exuberance!
For families who need extra room, we have tables with drawing supplies, and kids’ areas with small toys and books, located at the back corners of the sanctuary. You are also welcome to use the foyer space (where the service is live-streamed) or the Quiet Room down the hall for settling, napping, or nursing (an usher can help you locate another comfortable space for nursing if the Quiet Room is in use),
Our large parking lot wraps around the back of the church, so there is generally always available parking. Reserved near the front double doors are ADA parking spots and spaces for those who need extra time or assistance getting inside. Two visitor spots are located near the front doors as well.
Large-print song sheets are available just inside the sanctuary doors, and song lyrics are projected on screens. Assisted Listening Devices are available at the sound booth in the rear of the building.
We offer earplugs, earmuffs, sensory bags, and have a quiet space available to help create a more comfortable environment for all who would benefit.
At our Wednesday night dinners, we have gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegetarian options available, and make every effort to accommodate other dietary needs. During Communion, we have gluten-free bread available.
