AVA (Advocacy for Victims of Abuse) is a ministry of the Evangelical Covenant Church that seeks to equip individuals to come alongside victims of domestic violence and childhood sexual abuse with understanding and support.
This training is appropriate for lay persons, pastors, youth ministry staff, seminarians, small group leaders, childcare workers, and volunteers at all levels.
Advocates who complete the training will:
1. Have knowledge of the issues that AVA addresses
2. Be equipped to launch an AVA team in their church/community
3. Be an available resource to their church/community
