Covenant Kids – Parents’ Meeting and First Rehearsal

Covenant Kids is a performing arts ministry for children, kindergarten-6th grade, that seeks to honor God through music and theater. Covenant Kids rehearses on Sundays 11:45am-1pm (K/1st grade released at 12:15pm), culminating in a Christmas play or musical in early December.

This year’s performance is “The Radio KSCC Variety Hour presents A Christmas Extravaganza LIVE at the Orchard Theatre” in Shoreline, Washington. It’s 1941 and KSCC is on the air, featuring great holiday music, hilarious comedy acts and dramatic storytelling, perfectly suited for kids of all ages. With a special message by FDR and a time-honored retelling of the Christmas Story. Sponsored by Zingos- math supplies and sporting equipment for the traveling missionary.

If you are a kindergartener – 6th grader interested in participating (or their parent), please join us for the first rehearsal, the first part of which will be a parents’ meeting, on Sunday, Sept. 16, at 11:45am in the sanctuary. This will be a chance to meet directors Sam and Candace Vance and Katie Gillette, learn what this year’s performance will be, review the rehearsal schedule, and ask any questions. There is no commitment required to attend the first rehearsal, and there will likely be some fun and wacky drama/theater games involved!

No audition required!
