Global 6K for Water

This spring, churches and other groups around the world will be hosting “Global 6K for Water” events, on and around the “official” race day of May 4. SCC will be hosting our very own 6K on the Shoreline Interurban trail, beginning at Echo Lake Park at 9:00am. Why a 6K? Six kilometers is the average distance that a person in Africa has to walk each day to find water (and often, even that water isn’t safe to drink). Funds raised by the Global 6K for Water will go toward World Vision’s efforts to bring sustainable clean water closer to home throughout the developing world.
