Stop the Bleed is an initiative of the American College of Surgeons to train bystanders to perform basic, life-saving interventions to prevent death from life-threatening bleeding. This course will train you in techniques to stop the bleeding in situations ranging from household accidents to motor vehicle collisions to mass casualty events, in order to preserve life until first responders arrive. The course includes a short lecture portion as well as hands-on practice of the techniques on models.
